The crowd at Spur Arena in San Angelo, Texas, held its breath until the last run in the World’s Greatest Horseman fence work Sunday, Feb. 7 waiting to see if the luck of the draw would grant Randy Paul and Smokeelan the cow they needed to overtake the leaders, Doug Williamson and Hes Wright On, who worked first in the set of 10 finalists.

The Circle Y Derby is the first event at the National Reined Cow Horse Association Celebration of Champions in San Angelo, Texas.
