In her new blog, Gala Nettles suggests that perhaps it’s time for judges to judge NCHA Triple Crown events via live-feed on the Internet. “Since a percentage of the cutting population prefers to watch the show from home, and since judging horses off of videos is already considered OK, then combining the two should make everyone happy, right?”

Smart Little Lena
Smart Little Lena, 31, one of the cutting world’s all-time leaders as a performer and as a breeding stallion, suffered a stroke and was humanely euthanized at his longtime home in Aubrey, Texas, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, according to his handlers.
