About this section
This lifetime Quarter Horse News Cutting Statistical Review contains information, which was compiled, researched and tabulated by Equi-Stat, a division of Cowboy Publishing Group, through the end of 2009.
See the complete results in the July 1, 2010, issue of Quarter Horse News.
The principal charts included in this statistical review DO NOT INCLUDE CLOSED STALLION PROGRAMS that are not open TO ALL STALLIONS.
Morris Communications Corp., parent company of Cowboy Publishing Group and Quarter Horse News, formed Equi-Stat in 1985. Prior to the founding of Equi-Stat, there was no complete source of statistical information that included results from aged-event competition as well as weekend championship shows.
Thus, Equi-Stat has been able to generate a number of statistical issues that provide viable information for competitors, owners and breeders of performance horses.
Over the past two decades, there have been numerous CLOSED STALLION programs, including those that culminated with an actual cutting event. Earnings based on those programs/events will be reflected in the all-money-earned charts.

Money attributed to a horse is the amount of money that particular horse won and is in no way related to who actually received the money. Also, monies attributed to riders are not the earnings of the rider, but rather monies awarded to all horses that particular rider rode.
Quarter Horse News appreciates the efforts of secretaries and other show officials who provide accurate and compete show results. Statistics contained in this issue reflect aged-event and any-age results researched and compiled by Equi-Stat, plus the National Cutting Horse Association World Championship Finals Show, the NCHA Chevy Truck Eastern Nationals and NCHA Chevy Truck Western Nationals (Area/Affiliate Work-offs) and NCHA-approved weekend shows. Also included are results from the American Quarter Horse Association World Show, American Cutting Horse Association approved weekend shows, American CHA World Show and the American Paint Horse Association World Championship Show.
