NRHA President Rick Weaver, Fairview, Penna., confirmed that Dale Wilkinson, 84, passed away this morning at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Ga. On March 4 he underwent surgery to repair a shattered hip suffered at home on Feb. 22.
“It’s been a rough time for Dale and his family this past few weeks,” Weaver said. “It was time for Dale to go. It’s time for us to celebrate the time we had with him and be happy we knew him and got to spend time with him. Certainly this is a huge loss to all of us. Dale has affected so many lives – and not just with their involvement with horses.”
